Cape Town is definitely a must-visit destination, and there is a reason why it is so popular among international tourists and locals. With this two-week itinerary, you can experience the best of this beautiful city and its surroundings. I’ve included activities on the North and South Coasts of Cape Town and also the picturesque Cape Winelands. So here is the best two-week itinerary!

Here is the perfect two-week itinerary for Cape Town:
Day 1
Once you’ve arrived at the airport, make your way to the car rentals, as this is the best way to explore Cape Town.
We decided to stay in Bloubergstrand, and so we checked into our accommodation at the Dolphin Beach Hotel (BOOK HERE), where we had a spectacular view of Table Mountain.
Then we made our way to Eden on the Bay Shopping Centre to grab lunch at any of the restaurants there. Then buy some groceries for the week. We spent the rest of the day relaxing on the beach, where we saw the kite surfers take to the sky.
Grab dinner at the restaurant located at the hotel, called Blowfish.

Day 2
Head to the vibrant (📍) V&A Waterfront for some shopping. You can also enjoy an adventure out on the water with a kayaking tour (BOOK HERE), where you can get close to some dolphins and whales. Savour a meal at Gibson’s, famous for its gourmet burgers and milkshakes. Or try the Mexican food at Tiger’s Milk.
Then wander around the (📍) Silo Hotel and explore its unique architecture. Enjoy a sunset boat ride (BOOK HERE), followed by a ride on the (📍) Cape Wheel for panoramic views. Dine at (📍) Quay Four, offering delicious seafood and a lively atmosphere.
Day 3
Hike the famous (📍) Lion’s Head for a breathtaking sunrise view. Then take the cable car up (📍) Table Mountain and explore its stunning vistas. Eat lunch at the café atop Table Mountain. Head to (📍) Maiden’s Cove for a quick swim and stroll along (📍) Camps Bay beach. Indulge in a beachfront dinner at one of Camps Bay’s trendy restaurants.
Day 4
Start the morning with some scenic views as you drive along (📍) Chapman’s Peak. For those looking for an adventure, hike to the top for spectacular views of Hout Bay and Noordhoek.
Walk along the wooden walkway at (📍) Slangkop Lighthouse in Kommetjie and enjoy pizza at (📍) Kommetjie Pizzeria.
Explore the (📍) Cape Point Nature Reserve, where you can do a short hike to the lighthouse and drive to the Cape of Good Hope. Spend the rest of the day at Diaz Beach, located within the nature reserve.

Day 5
Have a slow morning and then head to the colourful Bo-Kaap neighbourhood. Learn more about this area’s history by visiting the (📍) Bo-Kaap Museum.
Head to Sea Point and grab lunch at the (📍) Mojo Market. Hire a bicycle from (📍) Up Cycles and ride along the Sea Point Promenade. End the day by watching the sunset at (📍) Llandudno Beach.
Day 6
Explore (📍) Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens with its spectacular view of Table Mountain. Walk the famous ‘Boomslang’ canopy walkway, which stands tall above the trees. Dine at one of the restaurants within the gardens and embark on one of the many hiking trails in Kirstenbosch
End the day by watching the sunset from (📍) Signal Hill, offering spectacular city views. OR head to (📍) Clifton Beach to end your time on this side of Cape Town.
Day 7
Now it is time to explore the Cape Winelands! I suggest staying in Franschhoek, as this is more central. We stayed in a small studio (BOOK HERE) which made it easy to explore the area on foot.

Start your journey at (📍) Babylonstoren, a historic Cape Dutch farm. Enjoy some breakfast at the Greenhouse Café before exploring the gardens. Then head to (📍) Nederburg Wine Farm for a delicious lunch and wine tasting.
Then make your way to the (📍) Alpaca Loom, where you can interact with the friendly alpacas.
Relish dinner at the (📍) Spice Route before heading back to Franschhoek.
Day 8
Start your morning in the Franschhoek mountains. Hike in the (📍) Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve for stunning vistas. Visit the (📍) Franschhoek Motor Museum and learn about automotive history. Wander through the charming (📍) Franschhoek town, exploring its boutiques and cafes.

Day 10
Take it easy this morning before you head to the South Coast of Cape Town and check into your accommodation in Gordon’s Bay or Strand.
Explore Stellenbosch first, such as the gorgeous (📍) Spier Wine Farm, and then head to your accommodation.
The Krystal Beach Hotel (BOOK HERE) is located in Gordon’s Bay and is a great option, and they have a delicious breakfast buffet!

Day 12
Stop at (📍) Dappat se Gat in Kogel Bay during low tide for a unique cave experience. On your way there, you can stop at the unique (📍) Grille Shack for some breakfast. Head to Bettie’s Bay and visit the (📍) Stony Point Penguin Colony. Afterwards, stop at (📍) Pringle Bay and enjoy the serene surroundings. End the day with a refreshing dip at the Gordon’s Bay tidal pool.
Day 13
Embark on a day trip to Cape Agulhas via the scenic (📍) Clarence Drive. Enjoy lunch at (📍) Zuidste Kaap, the most southern restaurant in Africa!
Visit the (📍) Cape Agulhas Lighthouse and walk to the southernmost point in Africa. Explore the (📍) Meisho Maru shipwreck.
Stop at Hermanus on the way back and dine at (📍) Ficks restaurant.
