There is just something about a market that screams weekend (or vacation). So whenever you are in the Ballito area, I would highly recommend you stop at the Litchi Orchard.
They started as a small nursery, but they’ve become quite popular and now have many small shops and market food that’ll wow any crowd.

Why should you visit?
There is a great vibe at the Litchi Orchard and you’ll also find some great live music playing in the background.
You can either shop dècor and some crafts, dive into the delicious food at the market stalls or grab something to eat or drink at one of the restaurants located on the farm.
The best time to visit
Although the market is open all year round, the best time to visit would be during the litchi season.
Litchi season starts middle of December, and through to the middle of January. The litchi is a very difficult fruit to harvest, therefore they don’t offer litchi picking. But they do pick the litchis and package them for you which they then sell directly to the customer on the farm.

Sophie's Cafè
There are a few options of restaurants to choose from, but I would highly recommend Sophie’s Café if you are all about the aesthetics of a restaurant. Covered in everything pink, this is an Instagram dream spot!

I’ve also had the best tacos at Better Days. Even though we waited a bit for our food, the flavour made it worth it! They have this awesome jungle vibe going on, and they are also known for their live music and events.
